Its actually safer to spin to 6500rpm without the balance chain as they spin more than double the speed of the timing chain and if the balance chain goes south, it can take out the entire motor as the bottom is attached to the oil pump and then it can also take out the main timing chain and cause valve damage.
Its a pm move in my opinion and its one less thing to worry about going wrong with higher power, not to mention the inertia forces required to spin those heavy balance shafts, they were put in for grandma and not for performance people like us.
On the 2.0 motor, I could hardly notice andy change in vibration at idle, with my 2.3 9k motor, I do notice some mild vibration at idle with all poly motor mounts and a top 9k mount in my ng900. My mirrors buzz and the dash buzzes at idle, once moving its all normal until I push the pedal down, felt like a light flywheel to me or like when you first switch to a large ic and get that extra 10bhp out of the car,
