Thanks guys.
Enough fuel is definitely not the problem. At one point while dialing in the RRFPR I was pushing a steady 90psi through the injectors at 18psi boost just to see if maybe I had a weak fuel pump--I still got the flutter sensation. The engine doesn't cut out totally like hitting a wall, it quickly cycles between what feels like on/off when the boost rises too quickly. The boost gauge flutters with it. The car will still accelerate, but it pauses and lurches rapidly. But only when approaching 16-18psi boost. That's what makes me think it's pressure/APC related. I'll give the MAF resistor mod a shot and see if things improve.
I'm running 22psi boost in my '94 Comm Ed with 431s, JSP chip, yadda, yadda... and it's not having the same issue.
My turbo Mopar has a RRFPR in it (plus a bunch of other mods) and I'm running 26psi in that car. The difference is that that car has a MAP sensor that reads pressure and sends a signal to the ECU to cut fuel at 14psi. I simply added a bleed on the vac signal line to the MAP to raise the cutoff pressure. I was wondering if there was something similar I could do with the Saab setup.
