You need to talk to MTAERO on this forum.... if he doesn't post something shoot him a email or shoot me one & I can get you his info. He has a 9K aero that he does tracktime with & I beleive is a porsche club instructor. He can tell you exactly what you should & shouldn't do to your 9K.
My only experience is with a SPG & for me going with the AP Racing brakes (which I purchased used from MTAERO) was a HUGE improvement & totally worth the money. I used 225-40-18 toyo RA-1's & for me there is no comparison in the power of the AP's. Being able to stop the car at 120+mph speeds the stock brakes no matter which pads I used are nowhere close in performance. At lower speeds especially on the street where tires are not as sticky the difference between AP vs OEM isn's very drastic but the AP's are still better. But at a track especially ones like gratten which are suppose to be hard on brakes there is a huge difference between the two, plus they weigh about 1/2 what the OEM setup weighs!!!
I just sold my SPG which had the AP's on the car & they are going on my Viggen now..... which will see some track time.
If you have only been to the track 4 times I would probably stay away from R tires, get everything else in line especially your driving skills first. R tires raise the limit so much that many feel it's harder to learn the limits of your car when new at this sport. Plus street tires are a LOT more forgiving at & beyond the limit.....
spring & sway bars.... with my SPG I kept the sway bars stock & only did springs. I was able to get specific springrates for my SPG & I am not sure if that can be done on 9k's. This is a area MTAERO will probably have some input on!
alignment is extremely important. For my SPG I went with a little toe-out. Otherwise the car was a understeering pig & simply felt horrible in any turn. Stom OEM alignment felt like complete crap
LSD is a HUGE improvement!!!! definantly get one of those!
