Ok to leave R line disconnected from boost ctrl valve? Posted by ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ryan) on Thu, 5 Sep 2013 07:38:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Please don't flag this post. I originally posted on NG900/OG9-3 board, but got no responses and someone felt the question might be better received on this board......
(2002 Viggen)
A while back I removed the R line from the boost control valve (and plugged the line) to diagnose a low boost problem. It worked.. and have since left it like this. However, I've had mild concerns of having an unfiltered opening to the system.
Does anybody know what kind of flow this sees? Does it only see flow going outward? or inward, or both? If there is any inward flow at any time, I'm thinking of buying a little K&N breather to attach.
Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!
