John Williams told me to do it...... when I reported a low boost issue on my Viggen after I was done with all the stage 4 upgrades. I had it before, but didn't notice until I installed a boost gauge with all the other upgrades.
@ WOT I was seeing no more than 10 psi at any point.... pulled the car over, pulled the R line off the boost control valve and plugged the line leaving the nipple on the valve open.... went down the road @ WOT with my 20 psi boost gauge pegged (20+ psi)
So it definitely works. This apparently is a known troubleshooting trick/fix to bad check valves in the system. Just want to find out which way the air is traveling at all possible conditions. I don't want to be sucking contaminants in.
