calm, well-spoken dean i have come to know here? it seems as though he is just posting a learning experience. meaning, hey i did this and it made it worse, why do it? i think if i had a viggen and was considering this mod, i would think against it.

fwiw, i added a cone filter to my c900t and noticed an increase in higher end performance at highway speeds, but a slight loss down low, like he mentioned. recently i just added a dam in the engine compartment separating the engine compartment from the air coming through under the headlight and into the filter. it has made a difference on the bottom end and retains the same, if not more top end increase. it's all a matter of keeping the air going into the filter as cold and as unrestricted as possible. i think this guy learned that the added flow he may have gained by opening up the filter was foiled by the increase in intake temp. a good learning experience that many others should hear about imho.
