none of the cars would make that much hp w/ their stock air box.
w/ the inexpensive cone in, my car spooled faster and had a tad bit higher boost in all gears as shown by digital boost gauge. eventually, i'll relocate the filter right outside the stock airbox inlet and throw the car back on dyno. open cone intakes make horsepower, even on dinky lil miatas ( http://www.aempower.com/pdf/results/22-482%202000-2001%20Mazda%20Miata%20SRS.pdf ). dyno proven, time slip poroven.
I'm sure AEM power/Injen/Iceman's results are all incorrect because: 1) they're newbies, 2) all dynos lie 3) you know better.
