One "problem" though with using manual transmissions - I would *suspect that you would probably wear out tires, transmission, or motors very quickly in a dual motor setup. The problem would be that there is no way to precisely match engine output vs. throttle position on two separate engines... The result would be at least minute but possibly substantially different engine speeds between the two engines at any given throttle position, and something between the motor and the ground would give. Maybe tires, but probably the transmission would take most of the abuse. Using a slushbox allows the fluid to absorb the difference...
