...will give high EGT's. It's not the Mitsu' that is the cause - it's the
exhaust and intercooler. The JT makes a big difference. A larger
intercooler will bring them down even more. I would highly recommend going the intercooler route, not because I don't like the
water injection. The larger intercooler will provide better operating conditions for the engine under all conditions - the water injection does its' thing only under boost. If you want 300 hp, then you'll be at pressures much higher than what the stock intercoolers' plastic end tanks were designed for. Do yourself a favor and save-up for the
intercooler first. You can always do the WI later. Same goes for the turbo - if you want a bigger one, then you're going to need a set of headers/extractors. The gases from each cylinder banging against each other in the stock exhaust manifold wont easily overcome the inertia inherent with a larger turbine/compressor.
