1 x dyno diagnostic session plus sorting LH-DI communication problem at 389,xx euro
1 x dyno session at 208,xx euro - resulting in a very smooth 250 bhp and a broadshouldered torque band.
3rd session wasn't charged - I've got more revs to work with now, but no time to investigate pinking problem, so appointment made for next session which would be Aug, 2nd if it weren't for the turbo they just sent out to a company that turns out to have closed due to vacation a couple of days aftwerwards... they'll be back on Aug, 2nd... :o
No charge for LH Eprom burn (map from Frank's race car downloaded for starters).
So even when the final session turns out a little more elaborate (they will have to dig deeper in the DI system, which they last done about ten years ago) I reckon I will still be a four figure sum ahead of the aftermarket route...
I still maintain the aftermarket route only starts to get interesting at the point you hit the boundaries of the LH mapping envelope in terms of adaptation to injector upsizing and rpm band (beyond the 7,250 limit that we have maps for right now). Before that, it cannot do anything that can't be done with LH/DI or Trionic.
I think if I had to do this again, though, I'd be tempted to go with T5 like Damien (although I don't think there are local places who can hack and reprogram T5 here - they're working on T7 and T8 at Beek Auto Racing, tho').
