Hm, not an easy one.
It depends if the wires are with or without interference surpression. Usually they either have about 1k Ohm or around 10k Ohm.
Didn't you buy new wires?
I think the correct Pertronix Ignitor should be the 1847V for Saab 95, 96 and Sonett V4. If Sonett is not listed you can check for the Saab 96 as well. Those engine parts are identical for the Sonett.
Coil should be 3 Ohm. Even the standard one that came from factory is listed with 3.2-3.6 Ohm.
You can only measure the restitance. Between + and - it should be 3 Ohm. Between - and the central high voltage output it should be between 8k and 15k Ohm.
Try to get a new Ignitor and coil. It is most probably one of those two parts is shot. If you have any chance to borrow good parts from a running car, this would help to pin down the culprit.
My bet is the Ignitor.
