Hi Bob,
I didn't take a picture, but the Isolator fits fine in the "wrong end" (the bottom of the new heavy spring). It's the top of the spring, where one of the coils is ground flat, that the last loop is just a tad tight. I've tried to repurpose every oddball tool I've got to use as an "expander" but of course these things are way too tough to give up.

A modest grinding is definitely in order, but they also look like they might settle in place with a nice bumpy country road.
