It's been a few months and I've poked around with the car a lot. Haven't had enough time to work on it every day, but have been putting in hours on the weekend. I've confirmed the starter works (I put the key in, turn it, and am greeted with a "whirr whirr whirr" noise). I want to give it some gas but before I can do that I need some replacement tubing, which leads me to this post and the knowledgeable folks on this forum. I've attached a picture.
The top left image is me pointing at a tube connecting the air filter to the carburetor. It is stiff and cracked at the bend.
The second image (bottom left) is indicating the connection point of a tube coming off the cooling system expansion tank. I've looked in the manual and can find no place where it indicates what that's for or where it goes. When I got the car it had a short length of fuel line attached to it with a rusty bolt screwed in to the other end!
The second picture also shows a rogue tube (yellow circle) coming from the air filter leading to ... somewhere. Hoping you guys can tell me where that should terminate.
The last picture shows a tube connecting the valve covers to again the air filter. This one, like the one connecting to the carb is cracked and I want to replace.
My overarching question for each tube is: what kind of tubing do I need for one? For example, I know I need a new fuel hose connecting the fuel pump to the carb, but that's easy enough--I can do a search for "fuel hose", but don't trust the results when I search for "short length of tubing which connects air filter to carburetor".
Thank you for reading, your patience while I learn the lingo, and your assistance.
