You pay your money and take your chance with everything in this world.
But if you can afford it, get the new Griffin, or better still, the new AERO. And be amazed at how this tank moves! Reminds me of the VOLVO 850 T5. I am in the UK, where the car is already available from my local dealer. I went for a drive after reading a copy of a review on this site and then taking advantage of the free test drive on the SAAB UK web site. Funnily enough, they gave me the 5 speed automatic to try, which was far better than expected. Flooring the pedal, I noticed a good surge of power with the TCS off.
And many of the problems from the last few years are reputed to have been attended to.
By the way, I own a 9-3 HOT, which has 200BHP. The 9-5 250BHP AERO engine also uses the HOT abreviation. And well deserved. I reckon that the manual box could be a pants-wetting, hand-sweating experience for any grandad that makes the mistake to floor the pedal by accident.
