I used to swear by Griot's Garage best of Show wax and Mother's All Natural Carnauba. Both are great products.

For post winter, I would use a paint cleaner or polish to get the gunk off the paint. Clay bar or cleaner wax for sure. Then glaze, then wax.

My recent trial was Griot's One Step paint Sealant (I used the Griot's random orbital buffer, but you can use it by hand), followed by Zaino Z2. The results on my red Alfa 164S were unreal. The paint was flawless and it got rid of 90% of the swirl marks. I did the same to my nocturne blue 9-3 Aero convertible and it was almost as good. I think metallics are harder to keep "perfect" than some non-metallics. The Zaino Z2 leaves an incredibly slippery paint surface.

As a car cleanliness junkie, I've tried pretty much everything. Klasse All in One gave bad streaks so it now sits on the shelf. Autoglym Super Resin polish is great for getting oxidation off the paint, and lasts pretty well. I would then put a regular wax over it though. Mother's All Natural Carnauba goes on easily and comes off easily, as long as you don't leave it too long. It doesn't stain either. Zymol is probably the best for overall look, but is a pain in the ass to get off and is expensive. P21S doesn't last very long.

If you want amazing results, you need a random orbital buffer. They are very easy to use and don't scar the paint. I've had mine for about a year now, and swear by it.

Sorry...I didn't really answer your question! But I hope it gives you some recommendations!

Cheers,
Paul H.
