I've read some of the posts and looked at the fixmysaab site and would like to know if the trim panel beneath the black plastic selector annunciator cover has to come off to access the Jalousie? My car has the Sport Tech package so that trim piece is carbon-fiber (brittle) and I'm afraid of cracking it. The fixmy site shows the trim piece as wood.
My intent is to cheap out and repair the jalousie with a piece of electrical tape on the back side as has been previously posted. If I have to take the carbon-fiber trim off I'll replace all the related bulbs while I'm in there. The car is an '04 with 110k on it.
