sure the 9-5 even in the aero form is not without faults.
i agree with TKC's assessment of areas for improvement.
i too would want a few more storage spaces near and around the driver's seat - although the glove compartment is quite big.
the windows (and sunroof in BMW's) should also have "auto up" (not just auto-down) feature that can also be controlled by the remote.
(the G35 has auto-up and down windows on the premium package equipped cars)
and the engine could be a little smoother at idle.
(oh well, it's not a v-6).
speaking of G35's and Aero's,
i was in the same boat when i bought my aero.
i narrowed it down to the 2.
like most people's assessment, i find the G's cockpit less inspiring
and cheap looking.
the outside mirrors don't have memory settings with the driver's seat
and the rear seats don't fold. (they do recline though for a couple of inches).
the seat controls are in an awkward position.
i also don't like the emergency/parking brake's location atop the dead pedal.
there's no trip computer unless you get the navigation system.
the HK system on the saab sounds better than the bose in the G, imo.
also, the doors don't sound as solidly as saab's do.
plus, the engine, though one of the finest v-6 on the road, is fuel-thirsty.
and being in its first year of production, i've heard of a few bugs - ac compressor noise, skipping bose cd system, dim clock light, glare on the windshield from the instrument panel at night, fuel line (?) problem.
you could check out freshalloy.com and g35.com and edmund's for G35 enthusiasts posts.
to its credit, the G35 and its siblings (350Z and the G35 coupe) are the "darling" of the press.
you get a 6 disc in dash cd changer.
the hood and suspension are all aluminum and so is the engine.
infiniti service ranks high on consumer surveys, and nissan's products,
historically are very reliable.
i could go on forever comparing these 2 cars.
but when it was time for me to decide, i chose the aero.
and have been having fun since.
good luck and let us know what you end up getting.
