you probably want to find a graph showing the torque curve. I saw one somewhere, forget where, and I think I remember the torque getting robust about 1800rpm... but I might be wrong about that... maybe somebody else here will know... in any case, you want the revs at the low point of the robust part of the curve and get really smooth with the clutch... I've got a 9000T w/ 249,000 miles on it, and that's what I did... and it still has the original clutch! I suspect (but don't know) that consistency in how you do it is important to clutch life... it'll be like programming your feet to act the same way each time, so that you can do it gradually, smoothly, but still quickly... it's a finesse thing, a minor art-form just between you and the car... it feels good when you get to where you can reliably do it "just so"... however, normal people won't have any idea what you're talking about ;-)
