Wow! I love this group already...
I read all your replies till now - and if there are any more to come, I'll read them as well. Let me tell you I already picked - and testdriven - a Saab '93 900S. I already decided to buy it, it has a relatively low mileage (123.000 km - about 75.000 miles?) and, as you all write, it drives great... And it looks good, too! It's just that I don't trust car salesmen in general, and this one is too young to trust in particular, even though the dealer agency is a very respectable one and acknowledged (is that the word?) by Saab. I knew nothing worth knowing about Saabs until I began reading this newsgroup, and reading so much about broken transmissions and other things that are very expensive to repair... Well, it made me hesitate. What if in six months something blows?
But you guys helped me over my final hesitations, and I want to thank you all for your very heartwarming declarations of love for your car. In fact, I think I'll print them and pin them to my wall! ;-)
Thanks again,
Bas
(a new Saab owner in The Netherlands)
