If you assume Gauge Pressure (which is what we're talking about) instead of Absolute Pressure, that takes care of the differential between the inside of the crankcase and ambient pressure by definition.
If the check valve on the small PCV line fails, or if it's mounted to check the flow in the wrong direction, then you can easily pressurize the crankcase when you're in a high boost situation.
Boost pressure is the differential between the absolute pressure inside the intake manifold and the absolute pressure of the ambient air. Gauge pressure.
