I'm squarely in line with turbocon and think it may be nothing more than broken belts. As a few others have already said it doesn't seem likely that as much is wrong with your car as you were told.
I think the dealership service writer thought of all the things possibly near the problem to try to sell you them too.
If you did the alternator once you probably put in new bushings then? How many years ago? If they're hardened replacing them again is reasonable, but if still fine, not needed.
You could try asking the dealership to look again. It might make them suddenly honest. Or, invest the money in a tow to a Saab indy, it will probably cost you less in the long run.
