the amount of blowby doesnt seem bad really, Im going to start my 9000 and compare the two. The 9000 had a head rebuilt by me about two years ago and has perfect compression, so its a good motor to compare the two.

The original motor was a bone stock '85 motor with 156,000 miles. There was almost no wear inside this motor when I disassembled it, and it made 185 psi compression. It only came apart because i wanted to build a somewhat hi-po motor with balanced internals and different pistons etc.

The 2.1 head came from a wrecker car with about 130,000 miles. When i pulled it it looked to be burning clean in the combustion chambers and looked as if it has relatively frequent oil changes

as far as the turbo goes. originally on start up I had installed a re manufactured OEM turbo which I pulled off a scrap car. The car only had 90,000 miles, so this turbo cant have had too many miles really. After I noticed smoking I purchased a genuine Garett kit and rebuilt the 85's original turbo (which functioned perfectly really, but with some shaft play), and swapped them. This didnt really solve any oil burning issues however

I have 16 FelPro valve stem seals sitting at a local store, and I may consider pulling the insurance and doing it soon if it doesnt stop puffing. Car now has only ~600mi.
