Noel,
As to the stall. The DIC function can be veeified by refitting it. The CPS is likely to be operating as designed as evidenced by the after-tow restart. The likelihood of fuel starvation is what should be examined. You have states the "tank also deforms", which is attteibuted to a non-vented cap. With a low volume of fuel, the deformed tank conceivably could have starved the pickup point severely enough to cause the misfire codes. After the tow, the negative pressure in the tank, equalized with atmospheric pressure returning it to normal shape, thereby allowing the fuel pickup point to operate the pump. So, how could it drive 30 minutes with the same fuel cap? Either you added fuel before the 30 minute drive, or the main relay contacts failed. Clearly, replacing the unvented fuel cap is a necessity, but pop off the cover of the main relay and examine the contacts by energizing terminals 85 and 86.
Current flowing through the coil will close the contact points. Clean them with a fingernail file or simply replace the Main and Fuel relays. Lastly, you might be experiencing the beginning stages of ignition switch failure. If you haven't replaced yours consider ordering one to fit later on.
Okay, as to the rapidly flashing turn signal. Normally double speed flashing warns the operator a bulb is burned out in the circuit. The bulb monitor located by the antenna in the left side of the trunk is very sensitive to differences in bulb resistances. Compare all the bulbs illuminated on the normally operating side to the rapidly flashing counterparts on the other. You can remove each problem sidd bulb, polish its base, and refit, or you can simply
fit all new bulbs.
Happy SAABing!
