Hi Folks.
This post is about my otherwise wonderful '97 Aero.
I am at the point with it where I need to disable the alarm system 100%.
Since its alarm AND door switches are now inoperative the alarm is just not needed anymore.
I don't want to get stuck - having the car towed home over & over 'cuz it won't start in our rural area is NOT a viable option.
I've searched and found posts suggesting to splice 2 of the wires from the alarm module's connector to defeat the immobiliser - does anyone here know the correct way to do this on a '97 ??
Thanks for any help with this !!

PS:
Discouraging info=>
"96-98 have a system that needs someone with an ISAT to make any changes."

PPS:
If I cannot fix this soon I'll be forced to admit defeat and find a simpler, older Corolla or Impreza.
Keeping a ton or so of spare parts has not helped me to remain mobile, sadly.
