Hi Goblin.
Since the alarm system is set up to totally stop the car, I see no reason to take it apart when there are only differing ideas about what is vs. what is not.
Saabnroark posts that removing it stops the car, as well as others who point to this conclusion.
My indie (whom I trust 100%) affirms that removal MUST be done along with a slight wiring change.
Bernie likewise affirmed this (differently), as did others when I posted before about the crazinesses.
As things stand, my Aero does start & run - but for how long...truly a mystery.
My partner works ~20 miles away, and if she has car trouble my Aero is the backup transportation, SO:
I will keep hoping that some kind soul here will pitch in with the confirmed details showing the way to eliminate this problem permanently so the Aero will always start & run.
