Great idea Larry! This is a simple question for me because the 99 I own and the 99 I lusted after are the same car! Not that I don't appreciate a '78 99T 3 door but my favorite is the 2 door with their cute little trunk. My story "and I'm stickin' to it! :-)", I met a gorgeous lady from Norway that was driving an '80 99 two door and fell in love with both of them! A few years later I found a 99 that I couldn't live without and bought it for $15,000 as it was completely rust free and every piece had either been refurbished to like new condition or replaced with new parts. The car is so quick that it's practically undriveable as far as traction goes. It is of course a lot lighter than any of my C-900's or early 9000's not to mention it's 16 valve engine but I think it's a lot because of the CIS that was retained when the car was converted to a=the 16 valve inter-cooled turbo engine plus it's an '85 engine with the goofy intake cam and the smaller ports so I'm thinking it's so quick because of the added low end and midrange power from the extra (smaller) intake port velocity and combustion chamber swirl from the '85 intake cam! I've been meaning to ask you what color Blue my 99 is however it looks like you've already answered that, Caroline Blue, http://www.saab99turbo.com/registry_detail.php?id=291 ? Gary S has been helping me with what Airflow body pieces will be best for everything I'm planing for the car including dual inter-coolers and a larger oil cooler. If you get enough response for an appearance in Nines I can get more info about my 99 from the original builder as well as all of the events with photos it won peoples choice in. Keep up the good work! Dave
