I understand. Let's examine this okay ??? First, does it get colder than minus 50 F/minus 50 celcius where you live ??? I didn't think so. Reading over the packaging on the Mobil 1 10-30 says it flows to the minus50 temps I asked for above.
If you live near Hudson Bay Canada, or Lapland in Scandinavia, then you could use it. But, Mobil 1 5W-30 would be sufficient even at those locations.
I am aware of some Saab service centers and a SAAB Dealer in N. Minnesota who switchover from the Mobil 1 10W to the 5W -30 in Dec-Feb. timeframe.
If you live in the continental 48 states, the Mobil 1 10W-30 will MORE THAN cover any climate conditions you'll face--excepting our Southern climates,South TX. Southern Ca., South Fla.,and similar other worldly climates where the (low temps) stay above 60 --the the Mobil 1 15 W is appropriate.
Regards.
