I got one just last Thursday before Labor Day. I was on I-95 (in DE, right before the Harvey Road exit[notorious spot]). I was doing like 65-70 in the right lane and went to pass this guy in a mini-van who kept speeding up to like 75 and then slowing to around 55; very annoying. My exit, Harvey Road, was only about a half-mile ahead but I had put up with this guy for miles, so I decide to pass him. Move into left lane, get it up to 80, and then realize, "SH**, there's ALWAYS a cop in that cut-through of the median! Please don't be there!" Well, he was there in a car without the light rack, but still a painted DE S.P. car. I look in my rearview to see if he's actually coming out, and yeah, he is, so I get off at my exit, and he passes cars on the exit ramp to get to me. I give him the handwave to let him know I'm going to pull into a parking lot.
Blah, blah, he'll put me down for NINE over, thank you officer, you need to slow the "F**K down!"-direct quote. He hands me the ticket and I just sign it(stupid-or NOT) and take off. I get home and he has the name as "JANE" Madden. Now, there's no one named JANE in my family AND, MAY I POINT OUT, I'm A MALE NAMED ANDREW! Also, he says he got me "NORTH of HARVEY ROAD" when I got tagged SOUTH of Harvey Road. So I go to the court date and the judge walks in and goes "Jane Maddden, that you?" I'm like "Nope." And she's in disbelief that someone just said "nope" to her. I motion to drop charges because of the wrong name/sex and wrong location. She moves it to family court where I'm awaiting a court date. To make it even better, she's dumb-founded and had no idea what to do-"Ummm, I honestly can't tell you where'd I'd begin, I've never seen inaccurate information give on a ticket." NEVER SEEN INACCURATE INFO ON A TICKET, HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A JUDGE, LADY?! Okay, so I think I'm getting out of it by saying the officer obviously didn't know WHERE he was or WHAT SEX I was, so how do we know he got the RIGHT car or clocked it at the INDICATED SPEED!? Sorry for the length, had to rant a little! Andrew.
