I got pulled over twice in a month and a half by the same officer a year and a half ago. The first ticket I did the stupid think and just paid, not sure I was going as fast as he said but it was possible. The next ticket I knew I was not going the speed that he suposedly clocked me at. I went to court to fight the ticket. I never recived any information about calibration records or training records which I requested and is agiants the law not to provied ahead of time, the only records he has was a picture with when the radar gun was last calibrated, and paper work that was out of date by two years and he was giving incorrect information about where he pulled me over, but I just a college kid so I'm the one who was mistaken. The birthdate on my ticket was incorrect which leads me to believe he read his radar display worng. Of course since this was a county sheriff and a county corut the judge and sheriff knew each other and so I got screwed, the fine was lowered some. Still very pissed off about the whole deal and have lost complete faith in our law enforcement, I have other run ins with the law where I have been harassed. This last spring however I did read some great news in the paper, the officer that pulled me over was fired for writeing tickets for a fausle speed, humm... not suprising to me, but because I paid the ticket, I emitted that I was guilty so no money back, the ticket is still on my record and I am paying for that great insurense increase.
Long story short, fight the ticket, you may at least get the ticket reduced.
