it's something that dealers get known for
it's called b*llsh!t.
if tires are cupping there's a problem in the suspension.
maybe they want to rotate them every 5250 miles? maybe 7125 is a better interval? 3800 might be too often for the drivers side, but it's probably not often enough for the passenger side. (kidding here)
i tend to buy front tires as needed and leave the back ones where they are, or i'll rotate them if i feel motivated. they might get switched if one is wearing funky on the front. i'll fix the problem and put the funked-up one on the back.
rotation should not be necessary if the suspension is working properly.
it might be amusing to go to a good indie and ask what they think.
