What was unfortunate for the customer in this particular transaction was he was able to source the part from Chad at about the very time that the flow of parts started up again following all the fallout from the Saab bankruptcy. This is just an effect of timing, but the "7 days prior" would indicate that the lower price point was not available 7 days prior, so what was Chad supposed to do? Sell the part at a loss?

Is it a pain for all Saab owners and Saab parts dealers and mechanics to be in this current situation? Sure. While the parts flow has been being addressed (finally), we have all had the option to either pay some increased price for a part that is hard to get or keep waiting until the parts flow loosens up and prices drop again.

Seems the bottom line is Anil just got caught in bad timing on this, but Chad is not doing anything wrong as the agreed upon sale price + shipping was met and delivered. Chad is having to defend his business and his reputation online because Anil is upset. This is not price gouging....just unfortunate timing based on the situation and scarcity of the part until recently.
