You are biased. You are on the other side more often than on the customer's side. You don't know me. I used to post here very often ten years or more ago. I still frequent the site and ask for info on occasion but don't consistently post any more. But I have owned 15 Saabs and am very loyal to the brand. I still own six. All but three were bought new.
I did more than my share to kept this brand going.
And my concern is for those of us who will have to continue to service our cars. The last thing we can afford is for people to insist that we pay excessive prices for parts. It will put our cars out of commission in a hurry. In the long run it will not be good for you either. One thing that bothered me about Chad when I talked to him. He didn't really seem concerned about whether Saab lives or dies. I do.
But that has nothing to do with the law. Do you want a lawless society? If everyone can just tell others to f off when without repercussions then we have a lawless society.
What Anil's position is, whether you like it or not, or agree with it, is that the contract was unenforceable. Not every agreement between people is enforceable. Some aren't. And every person who makes an agreement has the right to question whether or not the agreement should be enforced. I happen to think this is one of those times.
Anil's circumstance is very rare. The 2003 9-3 is the only model that requires a secondary injection pump in the NG9-3's. That makes him much more susceptible to being subject to the fluctuations of the market than would otherwise be the case. Then on top of that we have Saab's parts supply problems. And on top of that he can't pass inspection with a check engine light that won't go off and the car is sitting idle. He is a prime candidate for being taken advantage of. Chad clearly took advantage of his situation. The law is there to protect Anil in that situation whether you like it or not. Anil has an option to declare the contract void under the law and that is what he did.
There is no one on this board yet who has refuted my legal arguments. Not one. Because they can't.
I am fed up with business lawlessness. It really is irritating. Of course when the banksters set the legal example for the world, what should we expect from ordinary citizens?
