The difficulty here is that as I understand it Chad is an indy + doing Anil a favour by selling him a part off his shelf that would otherwise go into a customer's car (for which he would get paid for his time to install it). If he was running a standard parts operation, he would have a stated return policy and your question would be pretty simple to answer. But (to combine 2 hot recent threads into one), using the eeuroparts return policy + considering the shipping cost was $25, the sale price was $425, so a return less a 15% restocking fee ($63.75), for goods returned in original condition in the original packaging, would net a refund of $361.25... the difference is $88.75, which is more than the profit he was going to make on the sale...

That would be considered perfectly fair and normal. Often restocking fees are higher than 15% and often any electrical parts are non-returnable.
