I don't know too much about the engine options on the Xterras. But I drove the one my friend just bought. When trying to pass on a two lane country road from 50mph to 70mph passing speed, make sure you give yourself plenty of space. You'll hear a LOT of engine sound, but the darn thing won't accelerate. My friend almost got in a head-on collision accident, because our caravan passed a slow vehicle, but his X wasn't quick to pass, if you know what I mean. He was pretty shaken up after that. But otherwise, the X is a cool looking design.
