I would consider going back in time but I live in the rustbelt, so the older cars tend to fall apart. My favorite car ever was my 9000 Aero. I do a lot of my own work and feel a need to branch out a bit from Saabs and Volvos. The 2001 benz is pretty highly regarded on online surveys and Consumer reports. If I could find a 525it or 530it with a manual transmission I would jump on that but they seem really underpowered with an automatic.
