Re: Sonett stalling issues - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I had this problem on my '68 Deluxe 96 with the Weber 34ICH all last season and then again this spring. In my case, the problem seemed to occur when it was especially hot. Then it started when the it wasn't so hot. It seemed to exacerbate when after a restart. Drove me crazy! I won't bore you with the time I spent changing fuel pumps and filters, etc. Finally, I found the problem- it was the stupid electric solenoid valve in the Weber carb. You know, the one you connect to your coil? Apparently, it was failing such that it was not opening properly or was changing how much it opened. That was it for me.
