Hi again Anders (and everyone, obviously),
Got my Tech2 this week, and I have now access to all DTCs:
U0212 - Cim missing on bus
U0121 - TCS/ESP missing on bus
U2139 - CIM missing on bus
U2170 - RDCM missing on bus
U2143 - Steering angle sensor missing on bus
U2142 - Yaw rate sensor missing on bus
U2100 - CIM was missing on P-bus
No more no-cranck conditions, but these DTCs pop-up once every 2-3 days.
I did unplug the ABS/TCS/ESP connector at the ABS module; everything inside look OK, no corrosion, burned pin or hardened plastic.
The SCL is still acting a bit; refuse to lock once in a while. It takes sometimes 2 insertion of the key in the ISM for the starter to engage. ISM is new, as is the battery (I installed an AGM this time).
Last bit of info : before I got the Tech2, I used a simple handheld code eraser to clear DTCs. So, after an event like the one above, the next morning, the car is Ok except for the MIL indicator still on. If I plug the code eraser in the OBD2 plug to clear it, then the TCS/ESP failure message/light appears instantly. Is it normal, or is it a sign of something else?
I am waiting for a RS-232/USB adaptor to arrive (I bought the proper Tripp-Lite adaptor that GM recommends for the Tech2) and I'll have TIS2000 Security Access to dig further into diagnotics and repair.
So, what is my next step?
