I'm not a real expert like many others on there but I am almost certain you will not be able to read Saab specific module stuff (like the CIM) without a Tech2, or a hardware clone of it that looks the same and runs the Saab/GM diagnostic software. The a generic OBD reader will not tell you much.

To change the CIM and marry a new one you will also need "security access" which is another adventure but worth doing. You need this to change something as simple as a door lock module.
