I had the same thing occur around a month ago. As others mentioned, seems like a failing AMP1 under the driver's seat. In my case, my battery was low on charge and I stupidly used jumper cables without disconnecting the cables to the battery. My '03 9-3 SS Arc isn't even driven regularly so I should have pulled the battery and charged it in the garage. I knew for many years to not connect jumper cables to another car without first disconnecting the battery cables. Well right after connecting the trickle-charged battery a few days later, my driver's side front door speaker was heavily distorted and bassy, and the passenger side door speaker had no sound. They sounded great for twenty years as I am the original owner. So now I am sourcing a AMP1 repair or replacement. All of my other speakers, turn signals, etc. are working fine, so this is a partial AMP1 failure. From what I have read if it fails completely then you have no sound from the radio or turn signals, until it has been replaced or you can use a fiber optic bypass on the AMP1 connector. I have the 13 speaker factory sound system and for what it is I think it sounds pretty decent when it is all working properly. IMO it sounds even better when driven from a streamed source through a Bluetooth FM transmitter. It is my "listening room" once or twice per week at night when I run the car. ha
