Thanks, that’s good to know. It still works with some patience so I didn’t want to spend close to $100 for a scarce used one that hadn’t lost its black finish for the white plastic underneath, especially if the used part might have the same problem. I’ll try the WD40 and see if that makes it work better. Otherwise the car is in great shape with only about 75,000 miles and it’s a six-speed manual too so I can live with it if WD40 doesn’t work.
