I think those were the first fwd cars we ever had, so you live and learn, right?
I remember when I got my Corrado and said - I can get through a Maine winter if I'm careful......
The first stop sign I came to, I started to slow waaaay early. ABS all the was through the intersection and almost through it.
Wen directly home, called tire rack and got a set of snow. It was pretty much a tank after that.
----
I was up in Mass (I'm in GA now) in Feb/march in a 2000 Jetta during a snow storm w/ all season Michelins.
Every time I would change lanes the TC light would come on as I sent over the little hump of snow between the lanes.
It was more like - flash flash flash you're almost f***'d - get the hell off the road. It was about 2hrs of pucker. I owuld have been much more confortable in the c900.
The looks I got back here in GA with a salt covered car was priceless!
