In defense of a certain Princeton, NJ dealer Posted by Herb Hirsch [Email] (#114) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Herb Hirsch) on Sun, 5 Aug 2007 17:41:51 In Reply to: Maine friendly vs NJ attitude n/m, Noel, Sun, 5 Aug 2007 15:30:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Said dealer has had a few problems with service personnel. They are making real progress in moving forward.
Yesterday, I took delivery from said dealer of a new 2007 9-5 Aero. The service manager came up to the show room to meet with me. He was delighted to work on a problem (new windshield wiper motor) on my wife'
9-5 under warranty even though the car was a couple of thousand out of warranty!
We spent time talking about the free service from Saab for the first 36K miles versus work, not covered, that I would do. He opened up regarding current problems they were seeing and solutions regading the 2007 9-5. We talked about what I would be doing at the time of the 5K mile intervals between the free Saab service. The tone was one of collaboration...not confrontation.
I've bought cars from this Princeton, NJ dealer since 1986. Truthfully, there have been years when I haven't ventured near their service or parts department. Sales has always been honest and very competitive. Now, it appears that service is improving for the best.
