any way to fix cupped tires?

As many of you know the 9-5s are know for some serious toe-in in the back. It can be corrected with some painful shim installation. I figured I was going to have to do this when my new snow tires less year were cupped in less then 3 months.
(If I had to guess this is NOT a balance issue. I spend good money annually re-balancing all my auto tires on hunter road force units.)
Anyways I tossed my summer tires on expecting the same to occur to them before I could find time to shim the back with my Saab mechanic buddy. Those tires would need replaced anyways by the end of summer.
Guess what? Summer has ended my rear tires are 100% fine and I'm now in the garage looking at those cupped snow tires. I really don't want to spend the money to replace them and wasn't really happy with the wear but I would like to use them one more winter before the tread is worn.
Can these be shaved or fixed by a trained tire shop? My garage with the road force balancer had no clue.
