And it worked after some finagling. I have a one piece key that my dealer broke replacing the battery. They gave me a new key and took the guts out of the old one and put them in the new one. I tried the one with no guts and got a KEY NOT ACCEPTED message and I couldn't start the car. I put my key with guts next to it and still got the not accepted message. The new key had to be pointed downward toward the key hump right next to the gutless one and I got it to turn over. It stayed running fine once I took the key away too. Like others have said I wouldn't recommend relying on this to work all the time. It's probably worth getting the new key, from the dealer. If you lose them all you have to pay about $2000 for a new DICE unit from the dealer. That or find one used with a key for ~$600.
