Like I've been preaching, unique to MY 2005 is a "recommended" 15K service interval, albiet using M1 0W40. Prior to that, it was 10K using Mclean 5W30 synthetic blend, and from 2006 on, it was 10K using M1 0W40.
I'm not surprised that a 35K engine with two oil changes under it's valve cover is sludged. At 35K, my car had it's 6th change.
As for getting the car on ramps:
a) some people have reported that "rhino ramps" have a low enough slope to allow the bumper to clear
b) my driveway slopes away from the garage enough that I can drive onto the ramps if they are on the driveway and the car is (backed) into the garage. Otherwise, jack stands do the trick for safe, convenient changes.
c) I have seen some very low profile drain pans that would fit with the car on its wheels. Good luck reaching the drain plug, though.
