Thanks R. Frist, searching the archives, I did not see such a tip, these are the things I was looking for. Thats why I posted this. More recent info from folks that have actually done the DIY to their own cars can always provide valuable insight as I have done for many years on the NG900/9-3 board. You always find better ways than shown in WIS or Haynes. If one just quotes Haynes or WIS and has never attempted the work, it can lead to problems, broken parts or unnecessary work. I have found the Haynes stuff inaccurate or incorrect over the years and WIS can lack some very important details.
I sure wish I could get the 9-5 Aero up on ramps, but it is a little too low to the ground for this...maybe have to get some leaders to the ramps easing the angle a bit. I dont ever want to get under a car with nothing but a jack to hold it up.
Looking at that big ugly motor mount in the way (absent on the 900/9-3 cars), I figured it had to be removed to access the belt. Does the engine need to be supported from the bottom if the mount is removed for access and if so, where is the best point to support it?
