As you said, Brembo has nearly a cult folloiwng here in the US. Lots of folks think these are the gold standard of brake components. I have read a couple of opinions from car owners in Europe who chuckle at this. They claim that Brembo is a middle of the road brand in Europe, not bad, but not extra special either.
Interesting conflicting view points. Even the best companies make mistakes, but these mistakes should never leave the factory.
