If it was me I guess I'd stay with it. Going with a new(er) car you're getting yourself a new, unknown can of worms. Here at least you know what needs to be done and you know what you have fixed already!

Now I do have a good indy available, so that definitely provides a bias. If I had nobody who could help me (and was reasonably priced), I might have agreed with B Millar and get something newer and less problematic. But I am happy the way I am now:
-sharp looking 2000 Wagon (better now with BSR catback ;-) -strong V6 engine with maintenance up-to-date (planning to tune it to 240hp 288ft-lb whenever some money is available) -no worries about sludge, head gaskets, etc. I'll deal with thermostat and oil cooler when they fail.
- it's an early run of 9-5, so leather i nice, wood is nice, lots of cool features, glass headlamps (brighter than plastic lenses and don't get hazy), no SAI yet (pointess problematic complication), no tank baffles, and no other bad modifications that later MY unfortunately came with (shark antenna, blONd Star, SAI, aluminum dash, many "deletes" around the cabin)

It is your money and it is your decision. Figure out monthly payments and increase in insurance (per year), compare that to what current car will cost you to keep it running, factor in how much you want a new(er) one, what's your availability of "reasonably priced" service, and come up with the conclusion. I did that, and I'm staying with my 2000 wagon!
