Put me down as another who finds my Saabs (3) to be quite reliable.
2006 9-5 sport combi. CPO car I have owned a couple of years. Some pretty minor issues (AC, power windows and halogens) taken care of under CPO warantee with no questions by the dealer I bought the car from.
2001 9-5 sport combi. Bought off e-bay in three years ago with 115K miles for $4,800. Now at 172K miles and all I'v done beside routine maintenence is replace a thermostat for less than $50. I did drop the oil pan to check for sludge. Screen was dirty but nothing like many picures I've seen. Installed PCV6 to be safe.
1973 Sonett III. Bought it this spring and it runs better every time I drive it! No reservations about driving it anywhere, any distance, so long as it's not raining.
Now my 1967 MGB GT? That's anotehr story. :-(
