I have owned 5 Saabs, 1986 900 stick, 1987 SPG stick, 1988 SPG Stick, 1995 9K Aero and currently own a 2002 95 Aero which can be seen on Youtube under mint 2002 95 Aero. My advice besides saving money on clutches and only if you decide to go with a 5 speed tranny vs 4 speed which came on previous yrs. and you get the 250 horse power which gives you a 10 sec extra burst than go with the automatic. My current Aero is a stage 2 has 180K miles and has never had an issue. Make sure to drain old fluid once a yr. with Toyota type IV since basically the transmission has been using for recent yrs with no issues. I have raised 2 different 95 and both were stick and had no problem pulling away, and this was when my car was stock. From a dead stop is not where you have the advantage. You have it at mid-range and you benefit by having kickdown power. If the guy is shifting, he has to be at the right RPM and gear range or he will wind out the RPM and has to swift. Which will cost a couple of seconds lost. In my opinion get the auto tranny if its a 5 speed and 250 H.O.T.. Good luck
